This is a photo of Mumm taken yesterday morning at 9:50 am at the Shellbrook Co op store. It shows the clothing that he was wearing, an insulated blue plaid jacket with dark coloured pants, when he went missing.
UPDATE –Shellbrook RCMP – Missing person: Request for public assistance
Civilian Search and Rescue along with RCMP, local volunteers, and family members are searching the area in and around Shellbrook in efforts to locate 68 year old James (Jim) Mumm who has been missing since Tuesday afternoon.
Searchers are operating Quads, on foot and horse back, and by air with the assistance of Saskatoon Police Air services. At the current time there is no definite point of last contact to start the search from, so the searchers have a vast area to explore.
There is a command post set up at the Shellbrook RCMP Detachment. Anyone wishing to volunteer to aid in the search is requested to attend to the Shellbrook RCMP Detachment.
James Mumm has serious health issues and limited mobility.
Searchers maybe going from door to door and searching alleys, fields, backyards and the rural area around Shellbrook. The searchers are requesting that people check backyards, sheds, garages, or any type of outbuildings on their property that could provide a person shelter. If anyone has seen or been in contact with Mumm in the last 24 hours to contact the Shellbrook RCMP Detachment.
Shellbrook RCMP is requesting the public’s assistance in locating 68 year old James (Jim) Mumm.
Mumm was last seen walking on 2nd Street West in Shellbrook at approximately 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 24th. He was reported missing to RCMP at noon.
There is concern for his well-being as he has health issues and may be confused or disoriented.
Mumm is described as:
* Approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall
* Short, white hair
* Last seen wearing a red and beige plaid shirt
Mumm is believed to be on foot and likely still in the Shellbrook area.
