RCMP Crime Reduction Team: Search warrant execution

In the early morning of March 9, 2018, the “F” Division Crime Reduction Team executed a search warrant on the 1400 block of 106 Street, in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. A quantity of what is believed to be marihuana, an undisclosed amount of money, and drug paraphernalia was seized.

19-year-old Brandon Babchuk of North Battleford has been charged with:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana, 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession of the Proceeds of Crime, 354(1) of the Criminal Code
• Breach of Undertaking, 145(3) of the Criminal Code

 

26-year-old Kerry Thomas of North Battleford has been charged with:
• Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Marihuana, 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act
• Possession of the Proceeds of Crime, 354(1) of the Criminal Code
• Breach of Undertaking, 145(3) of the Criminal Code

Both individuals appeared at North Battleford Provincial Court on March 12, 2018 at 9:30 a.m. They are scheduled to appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on Friday, March 16, 2018, at 9:30 a.m.

The Crime Reduction Team is made up of members with specialized enforcement and investigative skills. This targeted, high-intensity approach to enforcement and investigation will focus on taking drugs, firearms and criminals off the streets of our Saskatchewan communities, making them safer.
