Man Walking on Hwy 16 Struck and Killed by Semi

On January 19th 2018 RCMP were called to a fatal motor vehicle collision with a pedestrian on Highway 16 east of North Battleford.

Investigation revealed that a lone 22-year-old male from Saskatoon had been walking in the middle of the highway dressed in black. The male was struck by a west bound tractor trailer unit. Emergency Medical Services and RCMP attended to the scene where the male was subsequently pronounced deceased by EMS.

 

It is not believed to be suspicious in nature and the driver of the Tractor Trailer unit had not consumed any alcohol. The family has been notified.
